My Blog

Don’t Wan’t to Be A Cry Baby boo hoo!

Heeeeey guys so I really am sorry for not blogging so much since my back injury, during these long, boring 7 weeks of my back injury..

But I do have an excuse! kinda.. well, more of an explanation..

I haven’t had anything fun or exciting enough to blog about happen to me in 7 weeks!  waaaaah!:( As I said in an earlier blog post and I complain about sporadically on my Twitter, I literally have been laying flat on my back for sooo long.  I am just now slowly working my way up to about an hour or two on my feet or typing on my computer a day before having to go lay back down.(and I have been making as god use of that time as I possibly can!  I’ve been staying on top of my emails as well as possible, but as many of you know by now, I’m kind along winded, and I don’t usually shoot out 1-2 sentence emails, so I am def moving slower than usual in that department.. do you guys forgive me????)

And as much as I KNOW this blog doesn’t have to be all about SEX SEX SEX (esp since the rest of my site IS all about SEX SEX SEX!) and it’s all about me and what I want to make of it, I AM very aware that a girl who was doing the splits while deep throating a 9 inch dildo on webcam for you just 8 weeks ago now is complaining on the daily about doctors visits and pain medication and BOREDOM just… isn’t.. sexy :) and.. Aaliyah Love just isn’t a CRYBABY :’( LOL!

But I will def give you guys an update on how and what I have been doing, and make you all laugh a little bit.  One thing I haven’t lost through out all of this is my humor.. and why would I?  In the grand scheme of things, it’s REALLY not a big deal, right?

So throughout all of this, I have been on the search for a doctor I can count on.  A doctor who I can trust and I know doesn’t have any hidden agendas.  A doctor that isn’t just focused on making the pain go away, but a doctor that can and will FIX what’s wrong with my back and tell me what I can/can’t do so it never happens again!  I am also mainly concerned with NOT re-injuring myself right now and keep on asking the doctors for some solid answers, which I never seem to get.  I’ve gone to 1 neurologist and 2 diff orthopedic spine specialists and the only doctor that seems to know my injury inside and out, seem genuinely concerned and confident he WILL fix my back without drugs or surgery is my CHIROPRACTOR and MASSAGE THERAPIST who I have been seeing 3-4 times a week since this started!  Luckily for me I have been going tho this chiro for 2 years now for 2 other issues in other parts of my spine and he has basically worked miracles on me, and he’s in the process of working another right now!:)

Why don’t I trust the other REAL doctors I went to see?  Well this blog is already getting super long so I will just give you guys one example.  Here is part of the conversation I had with the orthopedist today, who, by the way, said he couldn’t fit me into his schedule for 5-7 weeks over the fone, but when I went up to hi desk and asked, he could see me the next day.. WTF?

After I told him 5 times I did not want an epidural today since my chiro says if I get a shot that makes my pain go away we won’t be able to gauge correctly my progress if it’s going away or not, and I might overdo it and make it worse..makes sense to me, the doctor wasn’t having it, he was actually getting insulted I said no.  le sigh…

“I’m just ready to move past this injury..I am looking for a definitive answer to when can I start to get back to doing the things I want to do?”

“Well what is it you want to do?”

“Well, I want to walk, jog, do yoga, exercise, work, swim, pilates..??”

silence.. doctor looks at my feet

“when did you get your nails done?”

“…what?”

“the little flowers on your toes, when did you have that done?”

“ok, what’s your opinion on acupuncture?”

“if you do it and you feel like it helps, do it.  if it doesn’t help, don’t do it”

“can you recommend a good place to go, what I should look for, ask for?”

“no”

“so do you think chiro helps or is hurting me?”

“if you feel like it is helping, keep on doing it, if you get sick of it, come back to me for an epidural”

“ok, when is a good amount of time for me to continue with the chiro?”

“whenever you get sick of the chiro and want to come back to me”

See what I mean? :)

Anyways this week I HAVE started to feel better and I have started to do some simple stretches and yesterday I even took my dog for a 15 min walk and didn’t get sore from it!  My doggie was super stoked about it too hehe :)

Concerning webcam, I think I am ready to start doing individual 1 on 1 shows again!  Rt now I am taking requests for 1 on 1 webcam shows only, all you have to do is hit me up and we will meet at a certain time.  It helps if you tell me ahead of time how long you think you want to go for and kinda what you want.. you don’t have to write the whole damn script but I just want to make sure I can do what you want:)  Rt now I can’t do any twists and need to keep my spine straight, so no doggystyle and no riding my suction cup dildo, but you know I can still get to all 3 holes on my back and I can still tease and talk dirty as ever :)  So pleaseeee help me get back in the “swing of things” and hit me up for a show! Rt now my sched is open for anytime this week or the next!:)

As far as members webcam shows are concerned I really want to get back to that too!  I haven’t figured out a specific date and time but I am going to get into the NEW HABIT of announcing ALL OF MY MEMBERS WEBCAM SHOWS at least 1 week ahead of time! :) I am going to see how I feel over the next 24-48 hours then plan accordingly!:)

And I will be alternating between CamZ shows and CamModels only webcam shows free for all www.AaliyahLove.com members, of course:)

You all have been sooo patient, encouraging and sweet thru all of this thanx for sticking with me all www.AaliyahLove.com members you guys are the BEST! <3 <3

Of course we forgive you on the emails. I’d prefer the long emails even if it takes awhile to the 1-2 sentence emails. It is nice to see that you haven’t lost your sense of humor during this, it really isn’t a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Yeah, I can now see why you don’t trust new doctors, I’m the same way, if you have someone you trust, why change, especially when the new one doesn’t seem to want to make you better. I’m glad that you will be at least partially back next week. I will hit you up for a show, I’ll send you details on Twitter or email. Keep taking it easy and don’t push it too hard so you get better. – Joe

Baby, you could do a photo shoot and video of you laying on your back fully clothed and staring at the ceiling for an hour and I would watch it! Everything you do is sexy, you just can’t help it ;) I would never accuse you of being a crybaby or not taking care of your fans during this painful period. You stay in touch with your fans personally through Twitter and email way more than anyone else in your position would think of doing.

There’s a reason why you inspire love and loyalty in your fans and it isn’t just your perfect pussy (although we do LOVE that too ;)

You’ve been an incredible friend to me through good times and bad, and I’m going to stick with you the same way <3

You are awesome. Trust your gut when it comes to your health. If the answer doesn’t sound right, it probably isn’t. We know you want to take care of all of your friends and customers, but believe me when I tell you that all we want is for you to be healthy again. The fact that you are starting to feel better is a wonderful sign and I’m extremely happy to hear about that.

I am definitely looking forward to seeing you again sweetie. You’ve been incredible to me for years and sticking by you is simply returning a favor bestowed upon me countless times.

Continued success on your recovery. <3 XOXOX

As for your current doctor, he/she sounds utterly useless. I wish I lived closer as I have an in at the local hospital that can tell me who are the best docs in different fields. As a rule though, most docs are reluctant to criticize or recommend other physicians.

Isn’t funny how a Chiropractor never seems to actually fix the problem, you state you’ve been seeing him regularly for 2 years. They promise a fix, but the fix involves coming back, week after week for months even years for the same problem. So I wonder if that Chiropractor is truly looking out for your better interests or is he just putting you on the installment plan.

Have you looking into a Sports Medicine doctor, maybe one that deals with a local sports team?

I sincerely hope you get the help you need so you can get back to your life.

It’s a shame that you have been suffering for so long. You are wise to ask questions, as you find the best way to get better. Take your time, and keep doing your research. Slowly, but surely, as you begin to feel better, you’ll be able to increase your activity, until you’re back to normal. The body is very durable, and can recover from almost anything, it’s just a matter of time. Good luck to you. I hope that each day you continue to get better.

  8. Wilson Says:

I feel your pain and frustration. Unfortunately, you have run into the blatant (prejudice) disregard of alternative medical treatment. I’m almost willing to bet that the neurologist and orthopedist’s can hardly get through the doorway of their office due to swelled heads and inflated ego’s.
ok, I’ll get off my soapbox and by all means keep looking for a doctor that is genuinely interested helping you. Everyone that knows you well knows that your health comes first and work second.

    Be safe
    Wilson

ps … you want one of those upside down things to test?
    :)

  9. Aaliyah Says:

actually JD, the ONLY DOCTOR that has been helpful and given me hope throughout all of this HAS been my chiro! Now I don’t believe in ALL chiros, but this one I do. When I say I have been seeing him for two years, when I first moved to Cali I was in BAD SHAPE from 2 car accidents from a couple years ago. I started seeing him 3-4 times a week and slowly tapered down to once a month, more for maintenence. I have xrays that prove that my neck was bent the wrong way and my back was out of wack when I first started coming to him and they were fixed and I was feeling pretty good until THIS happened! So I understand your concern and I know a lot of people don’t believe in or trust chiro, but I do, because it has worked miracles on me :) God I’m starting to sound like an advertisement or something here hehe..
sports medicine doctor is a good idea, and I am actly prob gna go to a sports medicine physical therapist when I am ready to start working out again. I re ally need someone to show me how to do each exercize and use each piece or equip at the gym the right way so this never ever happens again!:)

  10. JD Says:

Well I’m glad to hear your Chiropractor has been helping you, I personally have always been a bit leery of them, but if it’s working, I can’t argue with that and maybe I should see one for my screwed up neck after a skiing accident.

You sound like an intelligent woman, so I’m sure you will make the right decisions about your recovery.

  11. Markl_uk Says:

I have to say that your second doctor sounds like he gets a commission with every epidural he uses, I personaly wouldn’t trust a doctor that doesn’t give straight answers to simple question.

I’m glad to hear that your starting to feel better and feel up to doing at least a few cam shows, as long as you don’t push yourself to far. I think Ill send you an email over the weekend regarding an 1 on 1 show for later next week.

  12. jrogers33 Says:

Hey Aaliyah, i’m sorry your back is still bothering you and that you’ve had a bad experience with the doctor’s you’ve been to.. I’m sorry it seems to be such a pain with scheduling one too. As a medical student soon to graduate and aspiring to become on orthopaedic surgeon, I would just like to shed some light on to why its so hard to give you a solution. The simple answer is that usually this goes away with time and pain medicine is usually what the docs want to give you to help you pass that time by. Surgery would be the last thing a spine doc would want to do with someone so young, you’d be in pain probably longer from surgery than from your disk bulge.
A disk bulge in a young person tends to be more traumatic than in an older person due partly to the make up of your the material in the disk (more liquid and elastic when you are younger) compared to an older person, But it tends to heal/scar down on its own, unfortunately because of a limited blood supply it is slow. But eventually you should start feeling like yourself again. After it starts to feel better, physical therapy to strengthen your lower back muscles may help to prevent another herniation.

And the reason docs don’t like to refer to chiropractors is that there are really no studies or evidence that they help. Now i’m not saying they can’t help on the individual basis, i’m sure certain ones are better and certain condition’s lend themselves to being helped by them and your chiropractor may be one of the ones that is able to help in certain situations. However, doctor’s don’t feel comfortable sending a patient to an unknown, understudied solution.

Anyway, thats how I understand the situation. Probably not much help but maybe it will save you time from trying to see too many doctors about this as it will probably get better with rest on its own.

Ps. your chiropractor is probably right about the steroid shot blocking the progress, however, if the pain is unbearable it sometimes is a nice solution with long lasting relief, some patients don’t have pain after the effects wear off because a first shot can last from 3-6 months in some people and that is often enough for the body to heal. Also there are several types of sports med doctors: orthoapedic surgeons or internal med/family doc. In my opinion most sports med guys that have an orthopaedic surgery background would probably prefer you were seen by a spine guy, I’m not sure about the other sports med docs.

Hey Aaliyah, so yeah got your comment on myspace earlier this morning, replied back but like you said in your comment you don’t check there that often. So looked up your blog like you said. Sorry to hear that your out flat on your back with some injuries. Such a shame to keep a cuttie like you MIA for so long, though the I am sure you have heard this many times in the last 7 weeks but the thought of you being flat on your back does kinda sound hot :)

Well hope we can talk some more, wondering what photographer you use. Mine was with Bill from PK out in Vegas, also with Nick in Hollywood can’t remember his last name though. Something Italien sounding.

Well hope your having a great day, and if you can hit me back up on the myspace, though I’ll try and check for a response here as well.

    Bryan

Don’t press Your Luck Gorgeous do take it easy. I want back to 100% gorgeous before doing much at all just take it easy.

  15. PinkPanther Says:

Jeeez, Aaliyah – I didn’t realize any of this has been happening with you – you must be going crazy, you’re such a hyper bunny of a girl. My opinion as someone that has chronic back problems – stick to the chiropractors and massage therapists. Those other doctors are dangerous unless you have some specific problem that they have identified. Otherwise, they really don’t have a clue and it’s just “Oh, let’s shoot you up with this” or “Oh, let’s shoot you up with that” – idiots!

  16. Aaliyah Says:

Hey Hey Hey Pink Panther long time no talk! Are you still a member, your emails stopped coming? Yeah I’m afraid most of my members don’t read my blog or my Twitter or myspace and have no idea why I haven’t been on my webcam in 8 long weeks!:( I am slowly working my way back now, and Thursday I did two 45min pvt webcam shows back to back! I have one show scheduled for everyday this week and would be willing to do a couple more if anyone wanted one? :)

  17. Aaliyah Says:

jrogers WOW I had no idea youre an aspiring ortho, what luck!:) I would love to pick your brain a little more privately, can you plz email me?
I totally understand what you are saying why the doctors can’t and won’t recommend chiro but at this point I have decided to kind of “take this matter into my own hands” and just use my common sense, but I am very very disappointed at some of the doctor’s lack of help and even potentially HARMFUL advice!:(
I really want to find a trainer that can help me in many areas, including showing me simple things like how to lift, how to bed, how to stretch correctly, how to use every piece of gym equip correctly AND a personal yoga instructor that will take the time to show me how to do every single move and how hard I should be pushing myself. I’m just not sure how to find a good one I can trust? Esp by just doing internet searches hmmm..

  18. Aaliyah Says:

Hey Brian yes I remember you and you are right this is def a better place to get a hold of me!:)
What photographers do I use? Well I have shot with several, lots of the content on my site is “content trades” where I shot for a company/website and instead of them paying me $, I get to use the pics/vids for my site as well as theirs.
I also have 2 or 3 main photgraphers who I shoot with 2-3 times a month, 2 are based out of LA and one is Ric Young out of Vegas..a lot of my pics on my myspace are labeled with the photographer’s names and every time I post pics here on my blog I always include the photographer and location in the post and the tags FYI! BTW why do you ask?

  19. Bryan Says:

Ahh was just curious to see if we had worked with the same people thats all. Lol don’t worry not some creepy stalker. Though I’d love to talk, I am not to big on these blog message board things so if your interested and want to reach me then you know how :)

  20. Aaliyah Says:

Hey did you get a vibe I was calling YOU a creepy stalker? nonono hun it’s perfectly normal for you to ask me which photographer I’ve worked with! And I’m pleased to brag about the top notch photographers/companies I’ve worked for because I only pick the best of the best to shoot with! It’s a long list if you want every website I’ve ever been featured on, but for my site, for the most part, my 2 guys in LA (you wouldn’t know them if I named them) have done prob 70% of my website, Ric Young in Vegas has done another 20%, and the rest are content trades. Some of my latest content trades are with Twisty’s (Dean Capture photography, LA) and AsianDivaGirls (ADG he’s known as, SanFran, CA) :)

  21. Bryan Says:

Haha don’t worry sweety I wasn’t thinking you thought that. Seem to be doing pretty damn good for yourself, definilty think my time in the spot light will continue to be just brief and spontaneous. Guys don’t really make much unless there behind the camera in this bizz. So wouldn’t quit my day job. Hope your having a great week, and hows your back feeling?

  22. Kevin Says:

I hear you’re finally getting back on the photoshoot trail after your long layoff. I hope it all goes well and that you shine like the star we all know that you are. Best of luck sweetness. I know you will get some great stuff to share with your members and maybe a few good teasers to share with the rest of the world hehe.

    Catch ya later XOXOXO
